Conestoga Steak House

I don't remember ever getting a steak there that was not good. However, this time it was over cooked. It tasted like a steak that I could get from any restaurant. Conestoga has always been better than average but the cook must have been having a bad night.

The best steaks in Alabama hands down!!! This was my first time there not a big steak kind of girl but my husband love steak so he said let's go there! Trust the place was packed it opened at 4 we got there at 4:30 and its jammed packed! So I knew this has to be damn good! Trust me it was! The service was amazing very friendly people! Only thing I wish is they had a broader menu for kids and more desserts other than cheesecake but if you have a steak and potato guy like I do or you are a steak and potato girl eat here you will not be disappointed at all!!!

Amazing as usual! There is a reason people come from hundreds of miles away to eat those steaks. I used to work there a long time ago and I ate the steak every day I worked and never got tired of it.

Great food, good service, reasonable prices, but limited space.

They had good steaks reasonably priced. Our friends bragged on it so we all went... 8 oz. filet mignon was tender and sides were tasty. If you're in the area it's worth a stop. They open at 4 p.m. and fill up fast so I suggest an early dinner. The young man at the host station was a bit cocky but our server Cindy was great.

I should say bad things to keep prospective customers away, but I can't lie. This is the best steak in Alabama. A simple menu with deçent pricing, this is a treat for the steak lover. Opens at 4 PM, but don't show up late or you'll be in line for awhile.

I was given a "don't judge a book by its cover" spill before I went to Conestoga. The menu is simple and the seating area is cozy - chances are you'll be seated close enough to hear your neighbors conversations, but don't let that turn you around because the people are nice, the food is great, and the steaks are perfect.

I had the 12 oz. Rib eye. It was delicious, tender and juicy. I love the sauce they baste it in. The salad was nice and cold. The baked sweet potato was very tasty with the cinnamon butter. Love this steak house!

Although it's not much for looks, this is a really great place to eat! Inside, there are 3 rooms that are mildly separated so, even during busy hours, you don't feel like you are in a large lunchroom. The waitresses are very attentive and kind and the food comes relatively fast considering how many people are being served. Overall, this is a really good place to go and eat a great steak!

Great hometown steak at a very reasonable price.

My favorite steak house in Dothan. Go every year for my birthday. Coincidentally writing this when I got home. Staff is always polite and patient when a large group of friends and family come together.

We went to Conestoga for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our steaks! They were definitely up their on our list of bests. The service was great and it was more affordable than I expected for such quality steak. We'll be back 👍👍

After a long day at work, l call in a large ribeye cooked med, extra au juice, fries and a salad with ranch. —TO GO. The steak is tender and juicy. Big fries are delicious smothered in juice. Great tasting salad dressing from scratch. Yeast Rolls are fantastic. This place is constant. Always great food, great service, and good decent prices. Not fancy and pretentious. Casual wear.

AWESOME steaks!! The BEST! It's what they DO. You don't get Seafood or chicken, just side dishes to your steak. They are my favorite place to go to for steak 😋

Always delicious steak, and a fantastic staff. Don't be expecting a fancy atmosphere and decor, you come for one thing only: great food. We've been eating at the Conestoga Steakhouse for over 20 years, and I can't tell you what's on the walls. But, I can always remember the juicy cooked to perfection steak.

My steak was tender, juicy & very good. Enjoyed the whole meal & even had a slice of cheesecake & it was the best I've ever eaten. Waitress was very friendly & good.

The food was very good and the service was very good. The MANAGEMENT however, made our trip to the Conestoga an awful experience for a special occasion. It was an 80th Birthday celebration. The hostess & owner made our large dinner party wait for seating even though the tables were ready because not everyone was there yet since it was supposed to be a surprise. Also they did not communicate to the servers that it was a birthday party so the servers didn't know to bring cake which they normally do until they heard it from us. Most of us who had dinner, several of whom were first time diners here, will not be back.

The steaks are delicious but, those yeast rolls! Oh. My. Goodness!

Didnt know what steak really was till we ate here.... now we are spoiled. Very hole in the wall... and worth every bite

I only eat well done steak so I don't normally eat steak out. (I'm very picky.) My well done steak here was Perfect. Cooked well and not dry! Great flavor. Very friendly staff.

Steaks here are as good or better than any in Dothan!

The Conestoga Steak House is hands down the best steak restaurant in Dothan. Great service and great food at a reasonable price. What's not to love? I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great steak! Reasonably priced, was put on wait list around 6:48pm on a Friday night and was seated by 6:55. Our entire meal was out to us by 7:20. Every chain restaurant in Dothan had packed parking lots and we knew that we would be waiting for a while. We decided to try this place on a whim and we're very pleased that we did. The steak fries however could use some seasoning. All they tasted like were soft potatoes. The sweet potato was great as well as the rolls. Extremely hot and fresh. We will certainly be back.
